I have a 640 Ford that I bought last fall.  The lift arms have good power for lifting and go down fine if I have weight on them but if I have just a bale spike or nothing at all on them they don't want to go down.  In the warmer weather I could idle down all the way and push them down but it takes two of us to do it when its cold outside.  If I shut the motor off they go down immediately.  This makes me wonder if it isn't a hydrolic fluid problem maybe too thick or contanimated.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
